The Vine Street home opened in February, 1981. It is a six (6) bed home and provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities and various medical issues, 24 hours a day. Our first consumer moved in on February 27, 1981.

The home is one level and wheelchair accessible and located in the city of St. Clair, right around the corner from the St. Clair High School. The neighborhood is very pleasant and the neighbors are good company and delightful.

The staff is very attentive to all of the residents’ needs and they enjoy making the home as delightful as they can. Several of the consumers attend work-day program where they work on job and social skills. Others participate in in-home programs and community activities throughout the day.

There is a small patio to the rear of the home where consumers enjoy spending time socializing in the nicer weather. Consumers also enjoy doing crafts and playing table games with staff and their peers. They also enjoy mall walking, bowling and going out for dinner and movies.

Our goal is to provide the people we serve the best possible care while we also assist with accomplishing their goals. The staff’s primary goal is to give support and assure the people we serve are always treated with respect and dignity.
