Substance Abuse Treatment Services

Substance Abuse Treatment Services are provided to adolescents, adults, couples, and families in both individual and group settings.

Person Centered Services are provided to each consumer based on their identified needs.

Individualized Treatment Plans are developed with the consumer as the prime decision-maker.

The Center for Human Resources offers a wide range of programs and services to meet the needs of consumers on an outpatient basis. Our consumers are able to access programs that offer support and education on the physical and psychological ramifications of alcohol and other drug usage, abuse dependence, and addiction. These programs and services are available for consumers based upon the comprehensive clinical assessment and intake information provided to the consumer by the agency’s professional staff. A Person Centered Plan is developed for each consumer based on their personal goals, identified areas of need, and recommendations from the agency’s staff. Once the consumer’s assessment is completed the appropriate treatment and support services are scheduled and written into their Treatment Plan. This may include one or more of the following services:

bulletPrevention and education classes
bulletIndividual counseling, group therapy
bulletIntensive outpatient group treatment
bulletCodependent group
bulletDual-diagnosis group therapy
bulletCouples counseling, family therapy
bulletPsychiatric consultation
bulletOther needed support services

Funding for these services is provided through fee for service public contracts, Medicaid, private insurance, consumer self-payment, corporate donations, and allocations from the United Way of St. Clair County.  Our mission is to provide quality substance abuse treatment services to the residents of our community. This includes services to individuals and families with limited resources.

If someone has a desire to make healthy changes they will not be turned away for an inability to pay.

CHR is the largest publicly funded outpatient substance abuse treatment provider in the five (5) counties of the Thumb Region.
